As a child of the 60s and 70s, I think back to the crazy outfits I sewed myself in Junior High School Home Ec classes, the flowers and other doodles I drew on the covers of my school binders, the beaded chokers I made. Now my love of gardening inspires this little walk down memory lane, taking me back in time to those exhuberant colours and funky florals. Joyful and fun – get your flower power on and be dazzled!

The illustration above was the inspiration for the collection. I had come across some really cool pictures of cells viewed under a microscope. I was compelled to draw some of those elements, which lead to more doodles of things somewhat floral in nature. Before long, my garden had sprouted!
